The half of the year 2017 is gone forever.
It had departed into the stash of history, if there is anything to count of it,
it is either lost or gain. Apostle Paul instructs
us not to look behind, even at success or failure, but to ‘press forward
towards the high calling of God.
Remember, the goal for any enthusiastic player is not behind him. I pray
for you to achieve your goal this season.
Lot’s wife in the bible story was a prime
victim of turning backward, despite the caveat by the angels of destruction
sent by God to Sodom and Gomorrah; who had compassion on Lot’s family. The
aftermath of her action is now a landmark of shame, lucrative business for
photographers as glee visitors embellish negative events. Her singular act of defiance
caused more harm to the family of Lot resulting to the illicit affairs that
brought about the birth of Moab City – a city recorded one of the highest prostituted
city in the Bible – because Moab was a son of lot bare to him by his daughter
through fornication, as a result of lot wife’s absent; who had twisted into
pillar of salt. (Gen. 1 9 v 30 – 38 KJV ).
Failure is not your portion this season in Jesus name.
“Success has no legs to walk’ a friend of
mine told me recently. I could not
contest that I obliged him. “It is in one place attached to your destiny; you
have to work and walk to it with zeal and keenness”, he said. In actual
sense, you need physical
and spiritual zeal to move forward to your destiny; you need to pray more this
season. Prayer is the major input to success. If Jesus our Lord Himself prayed,
we ought to pray. Zealous and season less prayer produces result (Dan. 10 v13
-15, 1 Thess.5 v 17). You have to bless
His (God) holy name (Ps. 100 v 4), most of us are not acquainted with this
secret of blessing God’s name, and all we ask for is God’s blessing. God will
bless you in return as you bless His holy name this season in Jesus name.
You needs
physical enthusiasm to work harder these remaining six months of the year,
‘there is no food for the lazy man’ they said. He who does not work is not expected to eat
also – Saint Paul. No one is jobless or created by God in vain or hopeless. ‘Whatsoever
your hand founded to do, do it with all your heart; for there is no work in the
grave where thou goeth’ ( Eccl. 9 v10,
Luke 10 v 7 ). You must put your hands to do something first before the
prosperity which God desirous of us in Psalm 35 verses 27 takes place. Prosperity
does not come by fluke but by a zealous pursues. Happy new beginning, God will see us through in Jesus name.
